Sea Bass Barbecue

"A simple recipe for barbecued sea bass. If the fish is fresh, this dish is sure to please. Great for beach side cookouts."

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 pound fresh sea bass

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil grate.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper and bay leaf. Rub fish with mixture inside and out.
  3. Grill the fish over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. Fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork.

Happy to be the first to review this one. Fantastic!!!! I had a beautiful thick filet and grilled it. The flavor of the fish was not overpowered by the marinade. Super yummy...picking bass up again tomorrow while it's still available!

It's winter and I did not want to grill so I made the lemon juice mixture omitting the bay leaf, placed fish on piece of foil. Drizzled the marinade over the fish then basted the top with lemon verbena pesto and gathered the foil loosely. Baked at 425-450 for 15 minutes. Delicious!
